Website capabilities

A website that works
for your business.

Custom design, useful business tools, and a technical foundation people and AI can read.

Sitemonk / Build standard

Built to be read by people. And AI.

9/10

Our own AI-readiness checklist.

See the checklist Hide the checklist
  1. Readable page content (included in the build)

Your content lives in the page itself, not assembled by JavaScript — AI crawlers see what your visitors see

  2. Structured data (included in the build)

Structured data describing your business, services, and FAQs

  3. llms.txt (included in the build)

An llms.txt file: a map of your site written for AI systems

  4. Plain-text page versions (included in the build)

A clean text version of every page, so AI reads it without guessing

  5. Semantic headings (included in the build)

Proper heading structure, so AI can tell where an answer begins and ends

  6. Clear business facts (included in the build)

Your key facts — hours, address, service area, pricing — marked up as data, not buried in paragraphs

  7. Author & update details (included in the build)

Clear authorship and last-updated signals on every page

  8. Crawler access rules (included in the build)

AI crawlers explicitly allowed, and named, in robots.txt

  9. Canonical URLs (included in the build)

Canonical URLs, so an AI citing you sends people to the right page

  10. Off-site mentions & citations (outside the website build)

That happens off your site, so no website build can deliver it. We don't sell it as part of a build.

Off-site citations are outside a website build. No AI recommendation or ranking guarantee.

Need more than a website?

Optional stores, portals, booking systems, and other custom features.

Before we quote a custom build, we'll always check whether an existing tool can do the job — most of the time one can, and we'll set it up as part of your site at no extra cost.

[ FAQ ]

Before you decide

The things people actually ask before they sign up.

What counts as reasonable?

Anything a business website of your kind would normally need. We agree on scope together before starting — a local trades business and a multi-category online catalog are not the same project, and we will say so plainly rather than discovering it halfway through.

How does payment work?

The build is paid in two parts: 50% to start, and the remaining 50% once you approve the finished site, before it goes live. We accept credit card (via Stripe), Interac e-Transfer (Canada), Zelle (USA), and wire transfer (international). The monthly plan is a Stripe subscription, billed monthly from the day your site goes live, so there is nothing to remember each month.

Do you guarantee how fast changes get done?

No, and we would rather say so than promise a turnaround we cannot keep. We work through requests in order and keep you informed. What we do commit to is that the work happens and that you can see its status.

What if I already have a website?

That is the most common case. We rebuild it on our own foundation, carry over the content worth keeping, and redirect the old URLs so you do not lose the search visibility you already have.

Can I get my deposit back?

Until work begins, you can request a full refund of your deposit yourself from your client portal. Once work has started — you will see it in your portal — the deposit is no longer refundable in full. You can still cancel the order, and we refund the deposit minus the cost of the work already done, which you can see itemised in your portal.

What happens if I cancel?

Cancel any time; billing stops at the end of the current month. Your domain and content are yours, and we hand over the full source code of your site.

Do you handle SEO?

We handle the technical foundation: clean markup, fast pages, sensible structure, stable URLs. That is what stops a site from holding you back. Ongoing content and local search campaigns are separate work, and we will tell you honestly when you need them.
